Blissful ignorance

Out here in the freezing cold

In a place known for being hot

I wonder why the weather’s so cranky

Monsoon showers in December

I wonder why man is so stupid

Unmindful of nature’s warning signs

Going about his work uncaring

About seasons changing and upturning

I sense an uneasy calm

Nature working up its anger

We’ll just stand by and watch

Helpless…puny weaklings

Civilizations have vanished

Cities have perished

It’s just the way it’s always been

A full circle.

Nature’s ways

Poet tree

With words I sow

Scattering them around with wild abandon

Fodder for birds

Food for thought

Ideas of delight

In fertile minds, they sprout

And germinate

Out of dry barren earth

And stone hard hearts

A shoot of green emerges

Cracking up the terrain

With explosive creative force

This tiny little nut

Frail and weak little seed

From where this life force?

Is it the dew drop that soaked?

Or sun-rays that warmed?

Or is it the soil fertile and moist?

Or is it just the way it is

That life happens. No matter what.
